Brief :

A fast-growing organisation which is using pioneering technology to provide market leading products and services on a global scale is looking to recruit a future business leader. As a key member of the Finance leadership team you will work closely with the CFO and other senior stakeholders across the organisation. Whilst managing a small team you will have full ownership of the organisation’s financial reporting requirements, ensuring best practice and leading a number of projects to drive performance and deliver efficiencies. This is a dynamic organisation that has a track record of recruiting high calibre individuals and progressing them quickly through the business.

Job Specification :

  • Full ownership of the organisation’s financial reporting, managing the production of the annual and interim external financials and the delivery of the glossies
  • Act as an internal consultant on all technical issues, providing guidance to divisional finance teams and advising the Exec on the impact of any accounting developments
  • Act as finance lead in relation to the implementation of new systems and processes whilst constantly looking at new ways to enhance efficiencies across global finance through the use of new technologies
  • Work closely with other corporate functions such as Tax, Treasury and Investor Relations, providing support and guidance where required
  • Full ownership of the audit process and act as a key contributor to Audit Committees
  • Responsibility for the management and development of a large, multi-site team
  • Play a key role in the strategic development of the company, working on a range of ad hoc projects surrounding M&A activity, business transformation, tax structuring and treasury

Candidate Specification :

You will be a qualified accountant with a strong academic record and excellent technical ability, coming directly from another listed or highly complex organisation. In addition you will be a proven team leader who is able to develop relationships and influence at all levels. Most important however is your drive and enthusiasm; a mind-set where you will challenge the status quo and constantly look for better ways of doing things.
