Brief :

  • Our client is a dynamic, market leading, consultancy experiencing rapid growth in its core markets of technology, media and telecommunications.  Turnover has trebled to around £10m over the last couple of years, largely due to the company’s focus on the Online, Wireless and Interactive Television markets. Largely UK based, its portfolio of clients offers considerable scope for further international expansion as well as continued development in the UK.

Job Specification :

This growth has created a new role for a senior finance professional to become a key member of the executive team. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will be responsible for providing a comprehensive financial service to the business. You will also be expected to play a major role in the future strategy and general management of the company.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing improved management information and reporting systems
  • Preparing business plans to support both the on-going business and potential acquisitions
  • Managing an effectively integrated Finance, IT and support function

Candidate Specification :

Strong commercial acumen, with a clear understanding of the issues faced by a growing business plus a willingness to be “hands on” are essential. It is likely that you will be a qualified accountant with at least 4 years’ PQE who wants a financial role with a broad commercial brief. Whilst initially the role will be more akin to that of a financial controller, for the right person, the opportunity to progress onto the board is available.
