Excellent opportunity to join a privately owned care business that undertakes a wide range of vital services for many of the most vulnerable people in the community. This company prides itself on integrity, teamwork and innovation, putting its patients and employees at the heart of everything it does, acting with professionalism and taking ownership for delivering excellence in the way that it operates. This multi-award winning ‘people business’ has been extremely well managed over the years and as a result has a very healthy balance sheet. As part of the company’s four year strategic plan ending 2024, the owners have outlined ambitious growth plans to increase turnover by 50% to £55m as well as driving a 2.5x increase in EBITDA over the same period. The business has recently made two bolt-on acquisitions and is also looking to expand into new areas of care. Reporting directly into the shareholders, you will be a key Board member and be expected to play a pivotal role in the future growth and development of the business.
The successful candidate will be a high calibre senior finance professional who understands how a people business operates and demonstrates a teamwork ethos. The role demands a positive, driven and proactive individual with strong commercial acumen and the gravitas to operate at Board level. You should be proven in the management of commercial finance and compliance and be regarded as an effective leader with good people management experience. This position would suit a ‘hands on’ entrepreneurial finance person with a passion for partnering business operations and driving continuous improvement. In addition to experienced finance directors, the business is also keen to hear from ‘up and coming’ Heads of Finance or people who have operated in a ‘number one’ capacity without having the Finance Director title.
