Detailed Job Information: Supply Chain Director

As Supply Chain Director you will manage all aspects of the strategic sourcing, purchasing and material management function for the business unit. The aim will be to significantly increase year over year savings and support operational excellence.

• Responsible for implementing the supply chain strategy for both direct and indirect spend categories, whilst managing a team of 15 purchasing professionals.
• Establish long term supplier agreements utilising low cost sourcing initiatives.
• Implement a supplier development programme and key performance metrics for strategic suppliers.
• Develop and improve logistics and transportation flow.
• Introduce and drive forecasting methodology and planning tools to better track and proactively address commodity increases.

The candidate must have a wealth of experience gained within preferably an automotive or precision engineering environment as well as reporting within a global structure.
